The Proton Wira, driven by Inspector Syah Lokman Ludza Ramli, was travelling from Kuantan towards Jempol when the crash happened at about 3am at KM76 of Jalan Kuantan-Segamat near Pekan. Initial investigations found that, upon arriving at the scene, the driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle before it crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Honda City.
