Two Covid-19 Patients Require Breathing Support in ICU

As of today, there are two individuals in Malaysia who have tested positive for Covid-19 and are currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Both of these patients require assistance with breathing.
ICU Admissions and Respiratory Support

The latest figures indicate that two Covid-19 positive cases are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. These individuals are experiencing severe symptoms that necessitate mechanical ventilation or other forms of respiratory support.
National Covid-19 Case Update

Malaysia recorded five new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the total number of active cases to 77. Out of the five new cases, three were imported, involving two Malaysians and one permanent resident returning from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan respectively.
Local Transmission Cases

The remaining two new cases are attributed to local transmission. These were identified during preoperative testing at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, and a medical centre in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, both involving Malaysians.
Recovery and Fatality Rates

In the past 24 hours, four recoveries were reported, increasing the total number of recovered patients to 8,465, representing a recovery rate of 97.71 per cent. No new deaths were reported today, maintaining the overall Covid-19 fatality toll in Malaysia at 121.
