This heightened hygiene awareness in Malaysia was correlated with the country's high level of concern, reaching 91 per cent.

The study also touched upon where individuals sought information regarding Covid-19, with international and local health authorities identified as the most trusted sources, followed by news outlets. In response to the pandemic, initiatives like Dettol Malaysia's #HygieneStartsWithYou campaign aim to further educate the public on the importance of good hygiene, particularly proper handwashing, as a crucial preventive measure.
