Despite the overall BN dominance, PH component party DAP achieved substantial victories with large vote margins in several constituencies. The DAP candidate in Kesidang, Seah Soo Chin, won with an impressive margin of 10,237 votes. Similarly, DAP candidates in Ayer Keroh and Kota Laksamana also secured considerable winning margins of 5,624 and 11,494 votes, respectively. DAP also clinched the Bandar Hilir seat, and another PH component, Amanah, won the Bukit Katil seat.
