The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has affirmed its readiness to deploy its agencies, including the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), to support the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) in its efforts to combat the leakage of subsidised cooking oil. Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin indicated that his ministry possesses the necessary enforcement capabilities to be leveraged for this purpose. This commitment follows a previous statement by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, who had outlined plans to enlist officers from other enforcement bodies to address issues surrounding cooking oil supply and illicit diversion.
