Introduction of Faster-Maturing Rice Seedlings

To further accelerate the achievement of self-sufficiency, there are plans to collaborate with an Indonesian expert to introduce rice seedlings that mature in a remarkably short period of 75 days. This development would allow for three harvests per year, a substantial increase compared to the current standard seedlings, such as MR219 and MR297 varieties, which require 105 days for harvesting. The introduction of these quicker-maturing varieties is a key strategy to enhance overall annual rice output.
