A two-year-old boy, who was ejected from a Perodua Kelisa following a collision, was subsequently struck by an unidentified vehicle. The incident occurred at KM 212.3 of the WCE, heading south near Manjung, early on the day of the report. The initial crash involved the Perodua Kelisa and a Proton Wira.
Fatalities and Injuries from the Initial Collision

The initial crash resulted in the deaths of Nor Fadhilah Mohd Azlan, 24, and her son, who was estimated to be two years old. Both were travelling in the Perodua Kelisa and died at the scene. Four other individuals sustained minor injuries: a 24-year-old man and a three-year-old boy, also from the Perodua Kelisa, and two male occupants of the Proton Wira.
Circumstances of the Perodua Kelisa Crash

Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of the Perodua Kelisa lost control of the vehicle, leading to a collision with a road divider. The car then overturned in the middle of the road. The force of this initial incident caused the two-year-old boy to be thrown from the vehicle.
Involvement of the Second Vehicle

Following the Perodua Kelisa overturning and the ejection of the child, an oncoming Proton Wira, driven by a 27-year-old man, was unable to brake in time and collided with the overturned Perodua Kelisa. It was after the boy was ejected from the Perodua Kelisa that he was struck by the unidentified vehicle. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
