Erroneous Automatic Translation

RTM stated that any English text visible on its official Facebook page concerning the installation ceremony was an incorrect automatic translation by Facebook's system, not content uploaded by RTM. The national broadcaster confirmed that it did not post any condolence messages in relation to the event.
Actions Taken by RTM and Authorities

Following the incident, RTM lodged a police report. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) subsequently contacted Meta, the parent company of Facebook, regarding the erroneous translation. Meta has since confirmed that the issue has been rectified.
Minister's Statement on the Matter

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil also addressed the situation, expressing regret over parties who accused RTM of making inappropriate posts in English. He reiterated that the original post was in Bahasa Malaysia and urged against spreading slander and being unfair to RTM.
