These bribes were purportedly given in exchange for Sayed Amir Muzzakkir's assistance in helping NSB secure a RM381 million tender for PDRM's RMPNet project. The alleged offences occurred on December 4 and December 16, 2020, and in early December 2020, and are being prosecuted under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009.
