The design of these pouches, allowing children to suck the contents directly into their mouths, poses a particular risk to dental health. Dentists explain that this method of consumption leads to prolonged contact between the food's sugar and the child's teeth. This sustained exposure increases the likelihood of tooth erosion and decay, independent of whether sugar was added during production.
