Conversely, police possess the authority to regulate and control traffic, which includes directing road users to comply with their instructions, and they hold an exclusive role in escort duties and managing traffic for dignitaries or convoys on public roads. Other agencies or individuals cannot unilaterally block or direct public vehicles to yield for their own convoys without proper authorisation.
