Previous Attachment Order Was Lifted

The alleged heirs of the Sultan of Sulu had previously sought to attach assets belonging to Petronas in Luxembourg. However, this initial attempt at seizure, formally termed "attachment" in legal proceedings, was recently lifted by the Luxembourg courts. This prior action, initiated on July 11, 2022, was set aside by the District Court of Luxembourg on January 24 this year.
Legal Basis of Previous Seizure Questioned

The decision to lift the earlier seizure order was partly attributed to the claimants' failure to disclose their actual addresses.
