This disbursement represents a two-month payment of the monthly management allowance, with the funds being transferred to the respective service centre accounts on January 21st.
Funds Credited to Service Centres

The Special Financial Assistance, as announced under the Perak Budget 2026, has been disbursed to the service centres of all 59 state assemblymen. This allocation of RM20,000 per centre was credited on January 21st, ensuring that all elected representatives, regardless of their political affiliation, have received the funds. This clarification was made to address claims that some service centres, particularly those held by the Opposition, had not received their allocations.
Details of the Allowance

The RM20,000 credited to each service centre accounts for a two-month period of the monthly management allowance. This allowance was previously RM5,000 per month but was increased to RM10,000 last year. Of this RM10,000, RM7,000 is designated for management and administrative expenses, such as office rent and utilities, while the remaining RM3,000 can be utilised for other purposes, including providing assistance to constituents.
Distinction from Civil Servant BKK

It is important to note that this BKK allocation to service centres is distinct from the Special Financial Assistance provided to Perak civil servants. The latter was disbursed in December, whereas the funds for the assemblymen's service centres were transferred in January. The total amount available to assemblymen for assisting the public over 12 months, including the additional RM3,000 monthly discretionary fund, reaches RM36,000, on top of the initial RM20,000 BKK.
