The incident involved bridge construction works by a JKR contractor for a wayleave project near Batang Benar. A wooden structure fell onto the railway track and hit the overhead line system between Batang Benar and Labu, damaging the electricity supply equipment that powers train operations.
How train services were changed for affected routes
Due to the disruption, KTM Komuter services from Pulau Sebang heading towards KL Sentral terminated at Seremban station. Services towards KL Sentral and Batu Caves only began from Bangi station, and no KTM Komuter services operated between Bangi and Seremban until further notice.
