Production and Supply of PPE Sets

Batik Boutique's production centre in Kota Damansara is equipped to produce up to 1,000 PPE sets weekly. These sets, which include a cap, gown, and boots, are retailed at RM25 each. Through a combination of individual and corporate sponsorships, the company has supplied over 1,500 PPE sets to key medical facilities such as Kuala Lumpur Hospital and Selayang Hospital. Furthermore, Batik Boutique has collaborated with other social enterprises, including Biji-biji Initiative and Earth Heir, to collectively produce more than 10,000 sets of protective gear, demonstrating a concerted effort within the social enterprise sector to support frontliners.
Development of Reusable Batik Face Masks

In addition to PPE, Batik Boutique began producing reusable face masks crafted from hand-painted batik material. These masks are designed with a two-ply, 100 per cent cotton construction and feature straps that wrap around the head, offering enhanced comfort and convenience, particularly for individuals wearing headscarves. This initiative provides a sustainable and fashionable alternative for consumers while addressing the increased demand for face coverings during the pandemic.
Partnership with AirAsia for Staff Protection

Batik Boutique is also contributing to the safety of airline personnel through a collaboration with the AirAsia Foundation.
