The institution underwent a relocation in 1910 to Kubu Road, where it was renamed the Methodist English School, and later moved in 1920 to a new facility at Bickley Park in Tranquerah, the present site of MGS Primary School 1. To support students from outside Melaka, Emma Ferris Shellabear also established the Shellabear Hall, a dedicated girls' hostel.
