Mastura Mohammad Nordin, who owns an eatery near the air base, recounted that she heard the explosions twice before witnessing the fire. She was approximately 100 metres away from the base when the accident happened. Following the sounds and the sight of flames, she and others rushed to the perimeter fence for a better view.
