SAC-1 Intersects Gas-Bearing Reservoirs

Located 8 kilometres east of the Sloanea-1 gas discovery, the SAC-1 exploration well was drilled to a total depth of 4,560 metres in 610 metres of water. This well intersected sandstone reservoirs that contain natural gas, with drill stem testing indicating good reservoir quality and strong gas deliverability.
Cumulative Achievements and Resource Unlocking

These latest discoveries, along with a successful appraisal from the Roystonea-2 well, bring Petronas' total number of successful wells in Suriname to eight.
