OD-KfK is designed so that eligible motorists who are not at fault can claim directly from their own comprehensive motor insurance, and the policyholder’s No-Claims Discount (NCD) will not be affected when an OD-KfK claim is submitted. Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) states in its Claims Settlement Practices Policy Document that general insurers and takaful operators (GITO) must offer OD-KfK and explain that the NCD remains safe under this option.
