Selangor and Labuan Showed Extremes in Birth Numbers

Geographically, Selangor reported the highest number of live births with 17,605 in Q2 2025. Conversely, the Federal Territory of Labuan recorded the lowest number of births, with only 274. The demographic data also highlighted that mothers aged between 30 and 39 years accounted for the largest share of births, with 48,503 cases, representing 51.9 per cent of the total.
Population Growth Slowed Considerably
