The remains of the 10-year-old Rohingya girl, Nur Aida Nur Muhammad, were found in Sungai Kerayong, Taman Cheras Indah. This discovery occurred this morning, approximately six kilometres from the fast-flowing drain near the MPAJ Hall in Kampung Cheras Baru, Ampang, where she was swept away. The body was subsequently taken to Ampang Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The girl's body was located in Sungai Kerayong, Taman Cheras Indah. This site is situated about six kilometres from the initial incident point in Kampung Cheras Baru, Ampang. The discovery was made at 11:20 am by the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department’s Water Rescue Team (PPDA).
Circumstances of the Incident

Nur Aida and another child, aged 11, fell into the drain at approximately 6:07 pm. The incident occurred as they were reportedly on their way home from school. While members of the public managed to rescue the other child, Nur Aida was carried away by the strong current.
Search and Recovery Efforts

The search for Nur Aida resumed around 9 am today, involving 11 members of the PPDA from the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, as well as rescuers from the Cheras and Bandar Tun Razak Fire and Rescue Stations. Her body was found lodged along the riverbank and has since been handed over to the police.
