The aggregate fund size disbursed by MDV amounts to RM4.1 billion. A recent RM20 million allocation from Budget 2023 is earmarked for its venture debt programme, which specifically targets start-ups and technology-based companies.
Venture Debt Programme for Start-ups

MDV's venture debt programme is a key mechanism through which it supports technology start-ups. This programme provides financing to companies that may have strong growth potential but face challenges in securing traditional debt financing. To date, over RM178.0 million in financing has been approved for 105 technology start-ups under these specific venture debt programmes.
Contribution to Malaysia's Economy

The initiatives undertaken by MDV are aligned with building a dynamic, innovative, inclusive, and sustainable economy for Malaysia. The venture debt programmes, in particular, have demonstrably contributed to the subsequent growth in revenues and valuations of the recipient companies.
