KPDNHEP, through its Deputy Minister Datuk Rosol Wahid, has stated that the ministry is constantly monitoring the supply of essential goods. This includes key raw materials such as chicken, beef, eggs, and coconut, which are reported to be sufficient for the Aidilfitri period. The ministry's assurance aims to alleviate public concern regarding potential shortages during the festive season.
Price Stabilisation Efforts

The ministry is also focused on price stability for essential items. For instance, onion prices have reportedly returned to a normal range of RM3 to RM5 per kilogram, a significant decrease from previous higher prices. This indicates an effort to manage and bring down inflated costs of commonly used food items.
Action Against Unreasonable Pricing

Enforcement actions have been taken against traders selling essential goods at what KPDNHEP deems unreasonable prices. Similar observations were made in Terengganu, where some traders were selling chicken as high as RM9.60 per kilogram.
