This influx of material led to severely high levels of turbidity, with nephelometric turbidity units (NTUs) exceeding 5,000.
Treatment Plant Operational Limitations

The Linggi water treatment plant is only capable of treating water with NTU levels below 1,000. When turbidity levels rise above this threshold, the plant must reduce or halt its operations to maintain water quality standards. Addressing the high turbidity can take between five to six hours, a process that can impede the supply of water, particularly to higher-ground areas.
Implemented Short-Term and Long-Term Solutions

In response to the disruption, Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan (SAINS) has implemented several measures. Short-term strategies include the installation of pressure control equipment and the coordination of valves to expedite water delivery to Springhill.
