For every other economy, the USTR determined a 12.5 per cent duty rate, with specific economies subject to each rate net of a product’s most-favoured-nation duty.
Malaysia and two other Asean economies face the 10 per cent rate
Among Asean countries, Malaysia faces a 10 per cent duty under the new Section 301 tariffs, and Cambodia and Indonesia are also among the Asean countries facing 10 per cent duties. The US also referenced tariff rate quotas for Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia, linked to each economy’s importation of US inputs.
