Family evacuated during Aidilfitri celebrations

Housewife Rozmawani Abdullah, 42, managed to evacuate her two children, 11-year-old disabled Muhammad Ammar Darwisy Mohd Fadzli and eight-year-old Afiyah Hanan, to a neighbour's house. Her husband, Mohd Fadzli Ab Rashid, and their eldest son, Muhammad Zafran Zarif, 14, were at Masjid Bunut Payong for Aidilfitri prayers at the time of the incident. While she was unable to save personal documents, Rozmawani was able to retrieve a Raya clothes bag from the living room.
Fire and Rescue Department response

The Kota Darulnaim Fire and Rescue Station received an emergency call at 8:27 am regarding the fire. A team of 22 firefighters was dispatched to the scene to combat the blaze. The fire was brought under control by 9:44 am, with ongoing investigations to determine the exact cause and the total value of losses incurred.
