At the Temporary Relief Centre (PPV) located at Kampung Jeriah Community Centre, 44 victims from five families are currently being housed. Two of these victims have been hospitalised at Sibu Hospital due to health concerns.
Floodwaters Receding in Kampung Seduan Jaya

Floodwaters in Kampung Seduan Jaya are reportedly receding. In the first affected area, Lot 482 Jeriah Barat 5, there is no longer any floodwater present. In a second location, Lot 462 Jeriah Barat 5, the water level has reduced to ankle depth.
Temporary Relief Centre Operational

A Temporary Relief Centre (PPV) at the Kampung Jeriah Community Centre remains open to accommodate those displaced by the floods. This centre was established yesterday by the Sibu Division Disaster Management Committee (JPBBS) in response to the rapid inundation of homes. The centre is currently sheltering 44 individuals who belong to five families.
Cause of Inundation

The homes in Kampung Seduan Jaya were inundated rapidly due to continuous rainfall that began on Tuesday. Sibu district has been identified as the first area in Sarawak to be adversely affected by floods resulting from the current monsoonal change in the state.
