The SKEB projects encompass the installation of advanced security features, including comprehensive closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems with expanded coverage, Electronic Access Control Systems, and Integrated Security Management Systems (ISMS). For instance, the Simpang Renggam Prison, a maximum-security facility, has seen the installation of 758 CCTVs, while the Muar PPA is equipped with 106 CCTVs. The primary objective of implementing SKEB technology is to bolster surveillance, enhance security, and improve operational responses within high-risk institutions, aiming to prevent escapes and other untoward incidents.
