New International Services from KLIA

KLIA welcomed new international routes operated by newly introduced airlines, including Salam Air's service to Muscat, Super Air Jet's flights to Lombok, Pekanbaru, and Surabaya, and Sichuan Airlines' route to Haikou. Beyond these new carriers, existing airlines also broadened their reach from KLIA. Batik Air Malaysia added Auckland, Jeddah, and Okinawa to its network, while AirAsia X, Air China, and Batik Air Malaysia collectively offered Chengdu as a new destination. China Eastern also introduced a new service to Shanghai Pudong.
Expanded Connectivity from Other Malaysian Airports

The expansion of air services was not limited to KLIA. Penang International Airport saw new connections with Batik Air Indonesia launching flights to Kuala Namu, Batik Air Malaysia introducing services to Guilin, AirAsia commencing operations to Hong Kong, and Xiamen Airlines establishing a route to Xiamen. Further north, Langkawi International Airport gained a new direct service to Chengdu via Batik Air Malaysia, and Kota Kinabalu International Airport welcomed AirAsia's new route to Beijing Daxing.
Resumption of Previously Operated Routes

In addition to new services, several routes that were previously suspended have been reactivated by existing airlines. Batik Air Malaysia resumed its operations to Hong Kong, Zhengzhou, Adelaide, and Chennai from KLIA. AirAsia X also reinstated its Kuala Lumpur-Raja Sansi route, further enhancing the connectivity options available to passengers.
