The recent full rollout of routes S01 to S08 marks the completion of the phased introduction of the BAS.MY service. The expanded network aims to provide a more practical public transportation option for daily travel. Buses now operate daily from 5:30 am to 11 pm, with service intervals ranging from 15 to 30 minutes, ensuring consistent availability for commuters across the city and its environs.

A total of 48 new buses have been deployed to operate across the eight routes, connecting key hubs such as KK Sentral and Menggatal. This initiative is part of the Federal Government’s Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) programme, which has an annual allocation of RM17.6 million, totaling RM88 million over a five-year period.
