As of 4pm on polling day, the Pulai parliamentary by-election recorded a voter turnout of 42 per cent. This figure is considerably lower than the Election Commission's projected 70 per cent for the constituency. In contrast, the concurrent Simpang Jeram state seat by-election saw a turnout of 56 per cent by the same time.
Establishment of Polling Infrastructure

For the Pulai parliamentary constituency, a total of 47 polling centres were established. These centres were further divided into 294 streams to facilitate the voting process. The Simpang Jeram state seat, by comparison, had 14 polling centres with 68 streams.

Pulai constituency is home to 166,653 registered voters. Polling for both the Pulai parliamentary seat and the Simpang Jeram state seat commenced simultaneously at 8am and concluded at 6pm on September 9, 2023.
