Latest Discoveries in Block 52

The Caiman-1 exploration well, situated in 90 metres of water, encountered multiple oil-bearing Cretaceous sandstone intervals. Further to the east, the Swartzia Aspasia Complex-1 (SAC-1) exploration well intersected gas-bearing sandstone reservoirs. These wells were drilled to total depths of 5,065 metres and 4,560 metres respectively.
Successful Appraisal of Roystonea-2

The Roystonea-2 appraisal well, drilled 7 km north of Roystonea-1, confirmed the lateral extent of oil-bearing reservoirs. Drill stem testing results from Roystonea-2 indicated strong oil productivity, validating the quality and extent of the reservoir system.
Significant Resource Unlocking

Collectively, the eight successful wells in Suriname have unlocked recoverable resources of more than one billion barrels of oil equivalent. This milestone highlights Petronas' technical capabilities and disciplined execution in the region.
Petronas' Operational Footprint in Suriname

Petronas currently holds interests in eight offshore blocks in Suriname, including Blocks 9, 10, 48, 52, 53, 63, 64, and 66. The company operates Block 52 with an 80 per cent participating interest, alongside Paradise Oil Company N.V. (POC).
