Malaysia secured three titles at the Malaysia Junior International Challenge Badminton Championships 2026.

Malaysia won three of the five titles contested at Stadium Titiwangsa on July 26. The national junior squad took the mixed doubles, men’s doubles and men’s singles crowns, while the women’s doubles and women’s singles titles went to Thailand.
The mixed doubles title went to Irfan Shazmir and Nur Aina Maisarah Hatta.
Second seeds Irfan Shazmir-Nur Aina Maisarah Hatta beat their teammates and top seeds Ahmad Redzuan-Teh Si Yan 21-12, 21-18 in 31 minutes. That result gave Malaysia its first title of the day.
The men’s doubles final was an all-Malaysian match.
Ahmad Redzuan-Isyraf Hafizin won the men’s doubles title by defeating Damien Ling-Irfan 21-18, 21-10 in 39 minutes. The final was another all-Malaysian contest, showing the depth of the junior squad in that event.
Tiew Wei Jie completed Malaysia’s third win.
Tiew Wei Jie delivered the third title by beating Thailand’s second seed Punnatat Prempunpong 21-16, 21-11 in 47 minutes. He said he took a step-by-step approach and had studied his opponent before the match.
Malaysia missed out on a fourth title.
Malaysia’s women’s doubles pair Rachel Tan-Xin Yin Teh lost to Thailand’s Chantharat Marndakul-Pearploy Suttiwarayanon 15-21, 12-21 in 47 minutes. Thailand also won the women’s singles through Kungkaew Kakanik, who beat Chin Yun Cheng of Taiwan 21-19, 21-15.
