The General Operations Force (GOF) Tenggara Brigade seized more than 200 kilogrammes of suspected cannabis with an estimated value of RM709,450. The significant haul was discovered during an operation in the Pasir Mas district.
Discovery During Op Taring Wawasan Kelantan

The seizure occurred on Monday around 8:30 pm as part of Op Taring Wawasan Kelantan. GOF personnel on patrol in Kampung Siram Pohon Tanjung observed a white Proton Saga BLM exhibiting suspicious behaviour.
Vehicle Interception and Suspect Apprehension

Authorities attempted to stop the vehicle in Kampung Kubang Puyu Meranti, Pasir Mas. The driver initially sped off, leading to a chase of approximately 10 kilometres before the car was intercepted. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended about 10 metres away from the vehicle.
Contents of the Seized Vehicle

Inside the Proton Saga BLM, which is estimated to be worth RM20,000, officers found several brown boxes. These boxes contained compressed dried leaves and plant substance believed to be cannabis, weighing approximately 210 kilogrammes.
Investigation and Case Handover

The apprehended suspect is currently under investigation according to Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. Following the operation, the case and the seized evidence were handed over to the Pasir Mas Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division for further proceedings.
