Warisan Ordered to Pay RM75,000 in Legal Costs

Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) has been ordered to pay a total of RM75,000 in legal costs following the dismissal of election petitions for the Sipitang, Kundasang, and Sook seats. The Special Election Court judge Datuk Lee Heng Cheong made this ruling after allowing preliminary objections raised by the winning candidates.
Costs Awarded to Winning Candidates

The judge ordered Warisan's candidates to pay RM20,000 each to the respective winning candidates. These amounts are to be paid to Yamani Hafez Musa for the Sipitang seat, Dr Joachim Gunsalam for Kundasang, and Datuk Ellron Angin for Sook, totalling RM60,000.
Costs Awarded to Election Officials

In addition to the costs awarded to the winning candidates, Warisan's petitioners were also directed to pay RM5,000 each to the returning officer and the Election Commission for each of the three constituencies. This brings the total additional costs to RM15,000.
Dismissal of Election Petitions
