FGV Holdings Bhd has invested a total of RM255 million in Trurich Resources Sdn Bhd. This investment has been accumulated since FGV acquired its stake in the joint venture company.
Joint Venture Structure and FGV's Stake

Trurich Resources is a 50:50 joint venture between Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) and FGV. FGV, through its subsidiary FGV Kalimantan Sdn Bhd, obtained its 50 per cent ownership in Trurich from TH in 2010.
Accumulated Losses and Sale Process

Despite the total investment cost, FGV's share of accumulated losses in Trurich amounts to RM234 million. FGV is currently in the process of selling its stake in Trurich, with the bidding process managed by Maybank. The group chief executive officer expressed optimism that the sale would be finalised in the first quarter of the following year, pending approval at the Lembaga Tabung Haji board level.
Trurich's Operations and Valuation

Trurich Resources owns and manages 42,000 hectares of oil palm plantations located in north and central Kalimantan. The company was valued at RM1 billion in 2018, however, a subsequent deterioration in estate conditions has led to a gap between the initial valuation and current market offers.
