Motorists using the newly opened Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (SPE) can expect to save as much as 55 minutes on their peak-hour commutes. The travel time from Kerinchi, Petaling Jaya, to Taman Melati in Gombak is projected to be reduced from the current one hour and 30 minutes to a significantly shorter 35 minutes. This substantial time saving is anticipated to benefit approximately 10,000 motorists.
Reduced Peak-Hour Travel Time

The SPE is designed to significantly cut down journey durations, particularly during congested peak hours. Previously, a trip between Kerinchi and Taman Melati could take up to 90 minutes. With the full opening of the expressway, this same journey is now estimated to take only 35 minutes, representing a reduction of 55 minutes.
