LRT3 is set to provide interchanges with several existing rail networks, allowing passengers to transfer between the Shah Alam Line and other Klang Valley services. The line will link Bandar Utama in Petaling Jaya to Johan Setia in Klang, with 20 stations over more than 37 kilometres.
The line is designed to connect major rail services across the Klang Valley.

The key interchange links named are the Kelana Jaya Line, the Kajang Line and KTM services. These connections are meant to place LRT3 within the wider urban rail network serving Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang.
The route covers a wide corridor from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia.

The Shah Alam Line stretches more than 37 kilometres and includes 20 stations. It is expected to serve key population centres in the western corridor of the Klang Valley.
Operations are set to begin on June 29 after the launch on Sunday.

The line is scheduled to be officially launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday. Transport Minister Anthony Loke said operations will start the following day, June 29.
The project has been in development since 2016.

Construction began in 2016 and the project has gone through several revisions, including cost rationalisation measures announced by the government. It is now set to become the Klang Valley’s newest urban rail service under Prasarana Malaysia Berhad.
