Immediate Increase in Water Distribution

Upon completion by the end of July, the upgraded Kampung Kabang water intake will directly facilitate the distribution of an additional five to 10 MLD of clean water. This augmentation is designed to offer immediate relief to residents experiencing supply disruptions.
Phased Operational Readiness

The initial phase of the Kogopon 2 Water Treatment Plant component is slated for operation between August and September. The Kampung Kabang intake's enhanced capacity will bridge the gap until the full 80 MLD treatment capability of the Kogopon WTP upgrade is achieved.
Addressing High-Rise Area Disruptions

As an interim measure to mitigate critical disruptions in high-rise residential areas, such as Puncak Gloxinia Condominium in Kinarut, additional balancing tanks will be installed by the Sabah State Water Department (JANS). The Papar Member of Parliament’s Office will also deploy static tanks in affected blocks to aid in clean water delivery.
