Success of the Job Coach Programme and Company Involvement

A significant majority, 68 per cent or 178 individuals, have learning disabilities. The programme has also garnered support from 165 companies nationwide, indicating a broad-based commitment to integrating PWDs into the workforce through structured support and training initiatives.
Expansion of Independent Learning Centres

In parallel with the workshop repurposing initiative, the ministry plans to establish five additional Independent Learning Centres (ILCs) across the country. These centres are designed to foster independence among PWDs. This year alone, two ILCs have already been established, supported by an allocation of RM900,000, demonstrating a continued investment in programmes that promote self-sufficiency and skill development for the disabled community.
