Reduction in Unsubsidised Fuel Prices

Effective from August 6 to August 12, both unsubsidised RON95 petrol and unsubsidised diesel have seen a reduction of five sen per litre. This brings the new retail price for unsubsidised RON95 to RM3.77 per litre, while unsubsidised diesel is now priced at RM4.57 per litre. The Ministry of Finance stated that despite Brent crude oil prices exceeding US$90 per barrel recently, a decline towards the end of the calculation period for the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) contributed to this price adjustment.
RON97 Also Experiences Price Drop

In addition to unsubsidised RON95 and diesel, the price of RON97 petrol has also decreased by five sen per litre. This adjustment sets the new retail price for RON97 at RM4.35 per litre, down from its previous price of RM4.40 per litre. The period for these revised prices spans from August 6 to August 12.
Subsidised Fuel Prices Remain Unchanged

In contrast to the unsubsidised fuels, the prices for subsidised fuel remain constant. Budi Madani RON95 (BUDI95) continues to be priced at RM1.99 per litre. Likewise, Budi Madani Diesel (Budi Diesel) is maintained at RM2.10 per litre. The Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS) is set at RM2.05 per litre, and the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) remains at RM2.15 per litre.
