Fire Response and Extinguishment

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received the emergency notification for the fire at 5:03 am. A contingent of personnel from the Cheras, Sungai Besi, and Bandar Tun Razak Fire and Rescue Stations were promptly deployed to the location. The extinguishing operation was successfully concluded by 6:41 am, approximately an hour and a half after the initial alarm.
Extent of Damage

According to the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) operations division assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, the fire is believed to have been caused by an electric vehicle (EV) undergoing a charging process. The EV was reportedly located in the foyer of the house at the time the incident is thought to have begun.
