Providing a Temporary Connectivity Solution

Starlink is being implemented as a temporary solution to expedite internet access in remote parts of Sabah and Sarawak. The high cost of a single high-spec Starlink device, amounting to RM11,613, with a coverage radius of approximately 100 metres and speeds ranging from 40MBPS to 220MBPS, underscores its role as a premium, albeit effective, interim measure. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will initially bear the installation and monthly costs for one year.
Evaluating Feasibility Through a Proof of Concept
