The victim only realised she had been deceived when the suspect did not return as expected.
Arrest and Recovery of Stolen Goods

Police apprehended three suspects, a mother and her two children, in Semenyih, Selangor, on July 3. The victim's jewellery, which had been sold to a pawnshop in Teluk Intan, was recovered by authorities. The suspects have been placed under a four-day remand, from July 4 to July 7, to facilitate investigations under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.
