Inspection and Approval Process Expedited Following Incident

An elevator overshoot incident on December 18 prompted an on-site inspection by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (JKKP). In response, Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif visited the site on December 19 to assess the situation and engage with affected residents, taking measures to accelerate the elevator approval process.

Following discussions between the Mayor and the JKKP Director, the contractor has formally submitted an application to JKKP for the inspection of an elevator unit in Block D. A pre-inspection by a designated Competent Person is scheduled to take place as part of the process to ensure the elevator meets safety standards before being returned to service. DBKL has reiterated its commitment to resident safety and will closely monitor the progress, prepared to take stringent action against any non-compliance with the agreed work schedule.
