The suspect was arrested late on Sunday evening after presenting himself at the MACC headquarters to provide a statement. The remand order was issued by Magistrate Shah Wira Abdul Halim following an application by the MACC.
Previous Arrests of CEO and CFO

Prior to the latest remand, two other individuals, a chief executive officer (CEO) and a chief financial officer (CFO) of a private company, were also remanded in connection with the same investigation. The CEO, who holds the title ‘Datuk’, and the CFO were arrested on May 12. The CFO, aged 53, was remanded for four days and subsequently released on May 16, while the CEO, aged 45, was released on the same day the latest suspect was remanded.
Allegations of Bribery for Equipment Supply

The CEO and CFO are suspected of receiving bribes totalling hundreds of thousands of ringgit from several companies. These alleged bribes were reportedly in exchange for facilitating the supply of equipment for AV8 and Adnan armoured carrier vehicles. The period under scrutiny for these transactions is between 2015 and 2017.
Seizure of Luxury Items and Foreign Currency

During the course of the investigation, MACC officers conducted a search at the CFO’s residence. This search resulted in the seizure of several luxury handbags and a quantity of foreign currency. These findings are part of the evidence being gathered in relation to the suspected corruption in the military equipment supply project.
