Accelerating New Water Infrastructure Projects

To provide a more sustainable solution, PBAPP has secured approval for new water infrastructure projects aimed at significantly increasing water supply. One project involves a new pipeline from Sungai Kerian in SPS, designed to augment the daily water supply by 50 million litres per day (MLD). Efforts are underway to expedite its completion within an estimated 12 to 14 months. Complementing this, a water treatment plant is also being developed at Sungai Kerian, which will contribute an additional 114 MLD. Both of these critical projects are projected to be completed within an 18-month timeframe, addressing the growing demand and ensuring a more robust water supply for the region.
