This distance and infrastructure limitations meant that higher ground areas often experienced insufficient water pressure.
Serving a Wider Geographic Area

The planned capacity of 6,000 consumer accounts will serve a broad demographic and geographic area. This includes residents directly in Lanchang, as well as those in Mentakab. Additionally, the plant is expected to supply water to new housing developments and nearby Felda settlements that are planned for the vicinity.

Beyond current residents, the new water treatment plant is also being built with future expansion in mind. The anticipated opening of a national furniture hub in Kampung Sempadan is expected to lead to an increase in the local population.
