The People-Centric Economic Stimulus package (Prihatin) includes a total of RM10 billion designated for cash handouts aimed at lower-income (B40) and middle-income (M40) families. These payments are structured in tranches to provide immediate financial relief.
Households earning below RM4,000 per month will receive RM1,600.

For the approximately four million households with monthly earnings under RM4,000, a total of RM1,600 will be disbursed. This amount will be provided in two instalments, with an initial RM1,000 payment in April, followed by a RM600 payment in May.
Households earning between RM4,000 and RM8,000 per month will receive RM1,000.

Approximately 1.1 million households falling within the RM4,000 to RM8,000 monthly income bracket are allocated RM1,000. This sum will also be distributed in two equal tranches, with RM500 paid in April and the remaining RM500 in May.
Additional support is provided for single individuals and tertiary students.

Beyond household assistance, the Prihatin package also addresses other demographics. Around three million unmarried individuals aged 21 and above, earning less than RM2,000 monthly, will receive RM800, with RM500 disbursed in April and the remainder in May. Furthermore, tertiary students are set to receive a one-off payment of RM200, totalling RM270 million in allocated funds, to be paid in May.
