Project Scope and Benefits

Package 1 specifically involves upgrading the East–West Roundabout, enhancing its traffic light system to improve flow, and constructing a new elevated slip road at Jalan Tun Hussein Onn. Upon its full completion in October 2027, the entire PTJSD project is expected to benefit 200,000 daily users of the route. The PTJSD, with an estimated cost of RM3 billion, spans 17.3 kilometres across the South, Central, and North Seberang Perai districts.
